RBC Goalkeeper Scotty Termotto Picks Up Multiple Offers as High School Career Comes to a Close

Manalapan, NJ: The final two years of Scotty Termotto’s high school career at Red Bank Catholic were not bubbling over with victories, as the Caseys once again struggled to score enough goals to stay in matches against the Shore Conference teams.

But for the senior goalkeeper, his senior campaign was filled with highlight saves, and he once again ended the season amongst New Jersey’s top stats leaders.

Because of his work, Termotto is now getting multiple offers to play in college as well as being named 1st Team All A Central and 2nd All Monmouth County and recording his 500th career save.

"Scotty is an incredible player and it has been an honor to be able to coach him and help him grow." said Coach Cody Calafiore, Scotty's Head Coach at RBC. "He's the kind of player that brings it every single day, always asking questions, and trying to better himself. He pushes the players around him to be better every time he steps on the field. His potential is unlimited, and I cannot wait to see the next steps in his career."

It’s a testament to his hard work over his career, and now, the big keeper will get a chance to continue playing the sport he loves.

While RBC was just 3-13 in 2022 and won just nine games in Termotto’s four-year varsity career, the keeper made impressions on many of the coaches he had to face since 2019.

This Shore Conference coach was impressed with Termotto last year:

“The first thing you see when you look at Termotto is his size. He is every bit of 6-4 in net. Sometimes, at this level, that is intimidating to players: it looks like he is taking up the entire goal. He is pretty athletic: he did a good job keeping RBC in the game I saw ... He makes some unconventional saves at times as well, like with his feet.

“I think it would be interesting to see what he can do with some protection in front of him ... He was basically putting out fires the whole game against us. We finally got a couple past him, but it was hard work.”

Here’s what another coach had to say about the big keeper this season:

“It is tough to see what he can do sometimes when you look at the team as a whole, because they were not good last year or this year. But there were some games that RBC had no business even competing in that Termotto kept them in. In the game we played them, we should have won by a clear three or four goals but he kept it to a one-goal match. 

“He will no doubt get a chance to play somewhere at the next level.”
