Contact@GoMVB.com Milford, PA: When you first see Liam Onofry put on the catcher’s gear, you would think he is heading over to the 16U or 17U games to get ready to play.

Nope!

Onofry, who stands at 6-0, 186 pounds, just finished up the summer with the 14U Garden State Ducks, and he absolutely dominated. He picked up the Diamond Nation 14U World Series MVP award, after tearing the cover off the ball for a summer.

Oh, and he throws out anybody that is daring enough to try to steal on him as well. His pop time to second base (2.02 seconds) is only beaten by his time from home to first (3.7 seconds), which was the lowest among the recent scout day event.

Onofry has already turned a lot of heads with his play, and will get a chance to continue that this spring with Delaware Valley High School, where he should slot into the varsity lineup as a freshman.

Here is a scouting report on Onofry:

“Onofry is already a beast. He is a 14-year-old, 6-0, 186-pound catcher with good pop times and can get down the line. He is going to be a superstar. You don’t see his combination of numbers very often in high school, and he hasn’t even played in high school yet!

“I know he has a ton of coaches already following him, and he will be heavily tracked over the next four years. The Ducks have a big-time player on their hands.”
