Newton Square, PA: If you can make the First Team INTERAC golf squad at any time in your career, you are a top level player.

Hunter Stetson has already made that team after his sophomore year at Episcopal, which is some feat.

The rising junior (Class of 2024) is heading into a big fall season of tournaments around the Tri-state area looking to lower his average from 73.5 down towards scratch, and he has put in the work over the last year to do just that.

Here are some of his top finishes so far from 2022:

4th at PA Junior Boys (Fully Exempt AJGA)
1st at Notah Begay Boys Regional at SeaView
Bert Linton Winner (Interac Championship)
2nd Place at PAISAAs
UHY Baltimore AJGA Qualifier Winner
Multiple HJGT wins

Amazingly, as good as Stetson has been on the golf course, he might be even better in one of the most rigorous academic programs in the country: he has a 3.85 GPA after two years, and has already taken multiple AP classes.

He is truly a star.

“Hunter is well-rounded with all aspects of the game. He plays his best under tournament pressure and is mature for his age coupled with a strong mental game,” John Bierkan, his swing and main golf coach, said. “He is a great overall player and very coachable. His iron play is very solid as is his short game. He has been working hard to improve his putting this summer heading into his junior year.”
