C/O ‘22, Rodriguez Prepares to Tear It Up For the Lake Region Thunder

Rodriguez, a ’22 wide receiver with the Lake Region Thunder, will be a starter this Fall and brings a high level of athleticism to his team’s air attack.

“Roger’s had a busy offseason with a strong focus on footwork and mechanics. A quick glance at his training clips shows a high level of athleticism that is undeniable,” said GoMVB Coach Pat Marzo. “Roger plans to make a name for himself on the Florida circuit and translate that off season speed and agility training to the gridiron - keep an eye on this athlete."

Roger’s objectives don’t stop on the football field - displaying a strong sign of maturity and focused commitment to academics, he boasts a 3.6 GPA and is highly interested in History as his targeted college major.

Roger has an unprecedented amount of desire. It comes from football being his one true passion and the main thing in life that keeps him on a straight path with major goals. This season, Rodriguez has his eyes on one hundred plus receiving yards per game as a target.

"I'm really looking forward to getting back on the field with my teammates since Freshman year, and having a winning season," said Rodriguez. "It's my personal goal to average more than 100 yards per game."

When asked what makes Roger so passionate about the game of football, he had this to say, "It brings so much opportunity and it's had a huge and positive impact in my life."
